Pay for one direction only
On most cab bookings you quietly pay for the return leg even when you are not in the car. A one-way drop removes that. You are billed for the distance you actually travel, which on a busy corridor like Pune to Mumbai or Mumbai to Nashik makes a considerable difference to the final figure.
How the fare works
One-way trips carry a slightly higher per-kilometre rate than round trips — from ₹13/km for a sedan and ₹16/km for an Ertiga — because the vehicle has to find its way back. Even so, paying one-way at ₹13 costs far less than paying both ways at ₹12. There is no minimum-kilometre condition on a one-way drop, and the driver allowance is charged once, not per day.
Where one-way drops make the most sense
- Pune ↔ Mumbai — for flights, meetings and family visits
- Pune and Mumbai ↔ Shirdi, Shani Shingnapur and Nashik — when you are staying overnight
- Any airport drop where the rest of the family is flying with you
- Relocations and student drops where only the luggage goes one way
What stays the same
Everything else works exactly as it does on a round trip — doorstep pickup, a written quotation before you confirm, driver name and vehicle number shared in advance, and a 24×7 number to call if a plan changes on the day.
