Who we are

Shree Swami Samarth Tours and Travel is a road-transport company based in Maharashtra. We move people — one passenger at a time in a sedan, a family of six in an Innova, a wedding party of fifty in a coach — across the state and well beyond it, into Goa, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

The company is named after Shree Swami Samarth Maharaj of Akkalkot, and the name sets a standard we try to live up to: do the work honestly, treat the traveller as a guest, and let the service speak before the sales pitch does.

How we started

We began with a single car and a phone number handed out to neighbours and shopkeepers. In those early years almost every booking came from someone who had already travelled with us or had been told about us by someone who had. That is still where most of our business comes from, which is the reason we have never had to chase business with aggressive discounting.

Today the fleet includes sedans, MUVs, a luxury SUV, four sizes of tempo traveller and buses from 21 to 50 seats, supported by a network of vetted partner operators in every district of Maharashtra. The booking desk answers the phone twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year.

What we believe about pricing

Most complaints in this industry come down to one thing: the number at the end of the journey does not match the number at the start. We deal with that by putting everything in writing before the car is confirmed — the per-kilometre rate, the driver bhatta, the night allowance if the trip runs late, and the fact that toll, permits and parking are charged at actuals with receipts.

If a fare is going to be higher because of a ghat section, a state permit or a night halt, we say so at the quotation stage. We would rather lose a booking to a cheaper quote than win one and argue about it at the destination.

Our drivers

A cab company is only as good as the person behind the wheel. Every driver in our fleet holds a valid commercial badge, is police-verified, and has driven with us or with a partner operator long enough for us to know how they behave with passengers. Drivers on corporate and airport duty additionally wear a uniform and carry a company identity card.

Drivers on darshan and family routes are chosen specifically for patience. When the group includes elderly passengers, the day is planned around temple timings and rest stops rather than the odometer.

Our vehicles

No vehicle in the fleet is older than six years. Each car is cleaned inside and out between trips, seat covers are changed on a schedule, and air-conditioning is checked before a hill route rather than after a complaint. Vehicles going into the ghats during the monsoon get an extra tyre and brake inspection.

Where we operate

All of Maharashtra — Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Solapur, Satara, Sangli, Ratnagiri, Amravati, Latur, Nanded, Jalgaon and every town in between. Regular outstation runs go to Goa, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Surat, Ahmedabad, Indore and Ujjain. If you do not see your destination on the website, call us — we very likely cover it.

What we are working on

Better vehicle tracking so families can follow a trip in real time, a larger Urbania fleet for elderly passengers who struggle with high tempo-traveller steps, and a driver-training programme focused on highway safety and passenger etiquette. We would rather grow slowly and keep the service consistent than expand faster than we can supervise.
