The journey from Goa to Ratnagiri
Ratnagiri is Alphonso mango country, with quiet beaches and a working fishing harbour. From Goa the drive is around 260 kilometres, typically 5.5 hrs behind the wheel. One way or round trip?

Choosing the right vehicle
Two or three passengers with light luggage are comfortable in a Dzire or Etios. A family of five or six with suitcases should take an Ertiga or an Innova. Groups of ten and above are far better off in a 13 or 17 seat tempo traveller — it works out cheaper per head and keeps everyone together.
